grade this grade that
Throughout this week we have been talking about grading. I used to think grading was a simple thing to accomplish as a teacher and was just time consuming. This week has made me thing otherwise. It isn’t necessarily difficult, but there are a lot more factors that you have to look at that I dint realize. I could see how my own personal opinion could affect how I grade the assignment. This is something I will for sure need to work on, especially since it is such a bug part of teaching.

Yes, grading is teaching. We don't usually think of it that way but it is central. If it weren't we wouldn't do it. Developing a philosophy and a system of grading will make your early months of teaching so much easier when you get there.
